The Senior High
Camp is located in the beautiful Black Hills just 40 minutes from Rapid
City, South Dakota.
Camp Judson provides modern facilities in a rustic atmosphere surrounded by unforgettable beauty.
Mt. Rushmore is within hiking distance from the camp, and Mt. Baldy, another well known granite-topped mountain, is clearly visible from Camp Judson.
The
camp has a main lodge where evening concerts and other evening activities are held. The staff at Camp Judson prepares delicious home-cooked meals in a beautiful new air-conditioned dining facilty.
18
cabins house students with a ratio of 7 campers to 1 counselor. Cabins include a fireplace and a half bath.
All
students must play in band.
Limited
health insurance is carried by Camp Judson, and a camp nurse provides consultation for students.
The
Jazz Band and Rushmore Singers Concert is held at Mt. Rushmore National Memorial Amphihteater on
Friday, August 8, 2008, at 7:00
p.m.
Plan
to attend the Rushmore National Music Camp Band and Choir Final Concert
Saturday, August 9, 2008, 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Rushmore National Memorial Amphitheater.
After the concert, you can enjoy a complete lunch
in
the Dining Room at the visitors center for a reasonable price.
Concerts
are free and open to the public. Entrance to the Mt. Rushmore National Memorial is free.
Parking requires the purchase of an $8.00 special-use pass that is valid for a year from the date of purchase.

Rushmore Music Camp TrumpetTeacher Emeritus-
Dr. Harold Krueger 
Professor Emeritus, Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota,
and brass choir specialist
After serving as the Trumpet Teacher
and Conductor of the Brass Choir for some 25+ years at Rushmore
National Music Camp, Dr. Krueger has decided to assumed an emeritus
status in 2005. Dr. Krueger's career in South Dakota has been long and
marked by success after success. Last year he received the Governor's
Award for Excellence in the Arts for the State of South Dakota.
He and his wife Phyll will continue to serve on the Board of
Advisors.
